Description

Program of the Indiana County chapter of the GAR's "obituary exercises" for Ulysses S. Grant held on August 8, 1885. The program opened with prayer and the reading of scriptures. The exercises also included speeches that discussed the various aspects of Grant's life. One of the speakers, Judge Harry White, spoke about Grant's qualities as a statesman. Each section of the program was accompanied by a song.
