Letter from William Gustin Lowry to Rhoda Stone Lowry, April 9, 1862
Letter dated April 9 sent from William Gustin Lowry (Gus) to his mother Rhoda Stone Lowry from a camp near Yorktown. He left a camp near "Fortress" Monroe [Fort Monroe, Va.] a day earlier. Gus reports some skirmishes and that there is a large Union force.
