Description

This document is entitled, "A Record of Dead Soldiers of the Wars of 1812 and 1861-1865 Buried in Cemeteries, Graveyards and Vault at Indiana, PA, Decoration Day, May 30, 1887." It was created by the Committee on Record of Dead of the Grand Army of the Republic and lists the name, rank, company, regiment, and date of death of soldiers buried in various cemeteries, graveyards, and vaults in Indiana, PA. The lists of soldiers are arranged by the cemetery in which they are buried. Burial places include Oakland Cemetery, Greenwood Cemetery, Catholic Cemetery, U. P. and Presbyterian graveyards, Vault (with one listing for Colonel Richard White), and Lutheran Graveyard. There is separate listing for soldiers buried in unknown graves, with the name, place and date of death for each soldier listed.
