The article focuses on the importance of information literacy program to the libraries of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The program requires an expansion of proverbial box, adaptation of administration, revision of programs and establishment of new policies for the success of the student learning. It is stated that the development of the academic library in the campus has no one to stop in fulfilling the mission of connecting people with the knowledge, despite of its difficulty in computer systems. The school has practiced some traditional information literacy activities such as bibliographic instruction, credit courses, liaison programs, taskforce for web development and faculty workshops.
